One Flesh

Sacrament of Service
Marriage is a Sacrament of Service which means it is a call from Our Lord to give one's love in service to one's spouse.
"Henceforth you will belong entirely to each other; you will be one in mind, one in heart, and one in affections . . . Only love can make [sacrifice] easy, and perfect love can make it a joy" - Exhortation Before Marriage
Covenant
Holy Matrimony is a covenant between a husband and wife which symbolizes the relationship between Christ and His Church. Marriage is a permanent union of persons capable of knowing and loving each other and God.
